Personal Description: Living in Cookstown, working in Belfast so available to service Cookstown, Belfast, Magherafelt and Dungannon areas.
I am a former pupil of Rainey Endowed School, Magherafelt. I studied Actuarial Science at the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE). During university, I worked as an assistant research officer at the Centre for Analysis of Social Exclusion (CASE) at the LSE, one of the most prestigous social science research institutions in the world. Since graduating, I have worked as a university tutorial tacher in Mathematics and Statistics at LSE and King's College London. I then worked as an insurance underwriter at Zurich in London. I am currently working as a financial analyst in Transaction Services at KPMG Belfast and I am a part-qualified chartered accountant.
As well as the aforementioned career pursuits I have been doing private tuition and TEFL teaching for the last six years. My focus is very much exam based.
I am also keen to take students beginning courses in the next academic year for ''head start'' tuition. This is invaluable to many students, particularly in Mathematical disciplines who perhaps lacking confidence. Not only does it avoid the student falling behind once the course starts, but it can help restore confidence in the student's ability if they have already had exposure to the material by the time they come to cover it during their course. Alternatively, book now for next academic year.

Tutoring Approach: Once I am satisfied that the student understands the fundamental theory underlying a particular topic, my emphasis will be on going through as many past-paper questions as I can get my hands on with the student as experience tells me this is by far the best way to get results. I have access to all recognized examination boards' past-papers. I like my students to feel at ease and to build their confidence with the subject by working with them at their own level and ensuring bthat they do not feel intimidated or pressurized to come up with the ''right answer'' immediately. Lesson format will be individually tailored to suit the student's needs with student/parental input valued.
