Information About Alexander

Personal Description: I am a postgraduate student currently studying Philosophy at the University of Durham. I also did my undergraduate degree there, which was Philosophy, Politics and Economics.

I am specialising in Philosophy of Language and Linguistics, Phenomenology, Ethics and Political Ideology, though am becoming increasingly interested by the foundations of mathematics. From my undergraduate degree I have a sound knowledge of Economics and the mathematical techniques that it employs (especially differential calculus).

Tutoring Experience: I have had a small amount of experience in tutoring for neighbours (in mathematics) and undergraduates (philosophy). I also have a lot of experience in coaching sports, which I have done at the University for a few years and whilst an a-level student I coached a swimming team.

Tutoring Approach: I prefer tutoring in person but am willing to tutor online also. I base sessions around the criteria laid out by the exam boards but can and will take many issues to a more advanced level.

Typically, I would produce notes during the tutorials (which you are welcome to keep) and would sit to your left (as I am right handed) so that you can see the paper as I write.
