Personal Description: I have recently graduated from Durham University with a first class degree in English Literature. I am friendly, enthusiastic and approachable, and I have really enjoyed my own academic study. I am also a keen singer songwriter, I am currently a brown belt in Karate having taken it up as a complete novice in my first year at University, and I do a lot of swimming and running.

Tutoring Experience: In my first summer of University, I spent a month teaching 4 - 16 year olds basic English, Maths and Science in an Orphanage in Mombassa, Kenya. I have had experience helping out in an SEN department at my local state school, and I have also done a lot of voluntary swimming teaching.

Tutoring Approach: I completely understand that sometimes learning can be stressful - but over the years I have learnt how to make sure that fantastic grades are attainable without a complete mental breakdown! I am eager to share a number of revision skills with students struggling either with exams, or with their courses in general. I know from experience that sometimes the way you learn a subject in the first place can really influence the recall of that subject when it comes down to exams. I am an extremely visual learner, and so during exam times my room was always covered in posters and leaflets, however, I have expereimented with numerous learning methods (audio, kinetic, visual) and I am veryu aware that people learn in very different ways. I am also happy to help out with coursework.
