Personal Description: I am currently at York St John University studying English Literature and Language. I have an enthusiasm for English and teaching and would like to help people suceed and gain confidence whether they are at school or college. I am out going, friendly and caring and would like to become a teacher and so I feel this would be a good experience.

Tutoring Experience: Although I do not have any official teaching qualifications I was a mentor for a year seven class at my secondary school for a year. I feel I have the qualities to be a sucessful tutor. I have been lucky enough to have been taught by some great teachers and so I would take inspiration from them.

Tutoring Approach: My role of a tutor would be flexible. I would help as much or as little as wanted. I would help and support the student by varying my lessons and advice in a way that the tutee would find best. I would highlight areas of worry and help as much as possible so the tutee would feel confident about the area and could return to school or college feeling positive.

Qualifications:

• 10 GCSE's A and B in English and English Lit.
• 3 A Levels - English Lit, English Lang and Geography
• Currently studying degree in English Lit and Lang
