Personal Description: I am a young fully qualified Mathematics teacher based in the Essex area. I have a fun personality with a good sense of humour.

Tutoring Experience: I am currently based at a very good Catholic school in Essex where i coordinate the specialist mathematics status. I have excellent classroom management skills, I teach children with a wide range of abilities and bring out interpersonal and self motivational thinking skills from my students.

Tutoring Approach: The normal style of classroom teaching is structured in a way that is based on mainly whole class teaching methods where the average student can be overlooked. I strongly believe that students should be taught HOW to think as opposed to what to think. I have a fun personality and I structure my lessons based on real life experiences with a humorous and enjoyable theme. For example, when teaching percentages I structure my questions to take in account the students interests such as "Wayne Rooney scored 73 out of 200 penalties in his career, calculate the percentage of penalties that he missed". Using this method I have received positive feedback from all my students and parents regarding a new found enjoyment in completing curriculum based learning.

• PGCE Mathematics.
