Tutoring Approach: Parents & pupils, please read carefully. I tell you chemistry of scoring grades in the examination. Solving previous years examination question papers is one of the techniques to gain motivation and confidence and the easiest way to grab GRADES (A /A*). First attempt should be made at School or home rather than the examination hall. This is the point where most of the pupils make a mistake. Pupils understand the subject matter involved but they answer questions in the examination hall without proper revision and pre familiarity of questioning style. This is called over confidence. Theoretical and descriptive questions are attempted with a comparative ease but when it comes to numerical oriented problems they make a mistake due to lack of proper revision and what the examiner expects to see in the answer booklet. Unexpectedly, one of the main reason responsible for low grades and further demotivation. Remember, the final drama will be rewarding only when there have been several rehearsals & practice done.

Indeed, experience has taught me to believe that examinations are basically meant to convince the examiners that we have reached the required level of knowledge and skills and have adhered to the exam specifications. The yard stick to measure this is examination question paper. So, please take examinations seriously. See, as a tutor I am not GOD, instead I help to build this answering technique of the highest order, maintaining high degree of Numeracy skills and literacy strategies. All tutors are well educated and look alike but they don't act alike. Over the years of experience, I have mastered this art and now become a passion for me. Grades count wherever you go whatever you do in your professional career and have got a close resemblance to one way traffic on roads and the prospective pupil cannot make a U turn once passed. That is why, I like to teach pupils who are serious and want to study but don’t know how to study. Consequently, this adds to my portfolio as well.

My humble advise especially to Senior and mature sixth form pupils, please don't take examinations without acquainting yourself with "techniques in chemistry and doing practice papers", Simply because the next exam paper is going to be something which is very similar to the one, which is in your hands at the moment. You need to dig out the questioning trend. Decision is yours, so the results.

From Vijay Lakhani (5/5): We did not have Amit tutoring my son

From Zara Stella (5/5): Amit is an excellent teacher, very patient, professional and extremely knowledgeable! He was not only able to help me with my chemistry ,but he also gave me confidence and taught me not to be scared of equations! I am glad to say I went on to study biochemistry for my Nutrition degree and I passed my exam with great marks! I woudn't have done it without Amit's help! Thank you!

From S Atwal (4/5): Amit Gupta helped our child improve her maths. Our child was very happy with the teaching skills of Mr Gupta. Mr Gupta was fairly punctual and flexible to fit in our timings during the weekly lesson. If required again, we would take on Mr Gupta's tutoring again.

From yinka ogunlesi (4/5): Good introduction. My son has found his method of teaching very helpful. Also very punctual

Reply from: Amit Gupta: Chris is a promising student and has the potential, but was not properly guided and motivated. We solved about more than 20 past year examination question papers and by this time he gained enough knowledge and understanding. As a tutor, I predict grade A definately.

In these quite a few lessons with me, Chris what else you want????? lol......
