Personal Description: I am currently a post doctoral researcher within a medical research institute, studying the structure of biological molecules. Having taken A levels in Biology and Chemistry, a BSc in Biochemistry, an MRes in Biomolecular science and a PhD in Biochemistry I have had many years of experience both in science and in the art of studying effectively and passing exams.
Tutoring Experience: I have successfully tutored GCSE and A level students in biology and sports science. In addition I have taught some components of biochemistry courses to University students. I recently spent 6 months in Malawi teaching primary level maths and secondary level biology.
Tutoring Approach: I design my lesson plans specifically for each student. Following the specifications of the student's own exam board, I use a combination of discussion, direct teaching and exam question practice to identify and strengthen weaknesses.
