Personal Description: After finishing university I worked for three years at the National Physical Laboratory measuring ionising radiation dose. One of the goals of the work I was part of was transferring our skills and knowledge to UK hospitals in order to give accurate radiation doses for cancer treatment. Currently I work at a hospital in north west London maintaining equipment used in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cancer.
Tutoring Experience: My teaching experience consists of mentoring several students at KS2, KS3 and GCSE level. These student went on to perform better at school and achieve exam grades higher than predicted.
Tutoring Approach: I can appreciate the difficulty in understanding principles and theories in Maths. I believe the best way to teach these concepts to students is to relate these subjects to real world situations.
For Maths, the best way to learn is through practice of past exam questions.
