Personal Description: I am a 28 year old graduate in political science. I hold both a BA (Hons) and an MA. My specialist fields are political theory, research in the social sciences British Politics and Post-Communist politics although I am more than fully versed across the breadth of politics and, to a lesser degree, sociology. I also hold Scottish Highers in a variety of subjects, including English and Maths, both at Grade B. Recently I have commenced a PhD in Architectural history and urban planning.

Tutoring Experience: Despite having no direct experience in tutoring, my current employment requires me to be a learning coach for new staff which necessitates a large part of training. As part of my MA, I regularly had to give presentations to large groups of peers and academics as well as giving feedback on other people's work.

Tutoring Approach: My general approach is to set small, acheivable targets that can be regularly reviewed with positive feedback. I ask open questions in order for the learner to begin to think through problems for themselves, so encouraging confidence and building awareness. I am hugely passionate about my subject and seek to share this entusiasm through teaching others.
