Personal Description: Following a fulfilling career in Midwifery my passion for languages made me re-train as a teacher. I have a high level of French, having worked in Switzerland for 5 years as well as completing a BA degree. I believe that language-learning is important not only for academic reasons but also for personal development and enjoyment. I am currently having tuition in Spanish, which also gives me the perspective of a learner.

Tutoring Experience: I am a recently-qualified teacher of French and German and have experience of preparing pupils for GCSE and A level examinations in French. I currently teach Primary French and adults, as well as private tuition.

Tutoring Approach: When taking on students I like to establish what their needs are in terms of current ability and desired outcome of tuition. I use a variety of teaching methods and resources, according to needs, learning style and time available. I am a patient teacher, and enjoy helping students make progress in their language-learning.

Qualifications:

• BA 1st Class Honours French/ Education Studies (with oral distinction in French)
• PGCE Secondary Modern Foreign Languages
