Information About Annie
Personal Description: I am a qualified teacher who has spent the last 4 years working in a mainstream school supporting students - some of them have SEN and EAL and are integrated into the mainstream from our dedicated speech and language dept.
Tutoring Experience: I work in yr 5 in a mainstream school as a class teacher. I also currently tutor a year 5 child who is having some general problems with maths and English, an adult who is studying for her GCSE maths, a yr 2 child who has experienced delays in learning, a yr 7 child studying for the 12+, a yr 8 child who is needing general english help. I have previously tutored adults with reading and spelling difficulties and teenagers for their GCSEs. I have been tutoring since October of last year.
Tutoring Approach: I like to tutor creatively, a hands on approach that suits the needs of individual tutees. I give challenges to be completed between visits and I try to focus on what the tutee is having problems with rather than going over what they know. However if the tutoring is for revision purposes then I would obvioulsy be going over subjects they already know.
From Ann-Marie Taylor (5/5): Really happy with Annie, she is making excellent progress with Chloe, she is reasonably flexible with times, and always tries to accommodate our and Chloe's needs.
Reply from: Annie Williams: Thanks Anne-Marie. Chloe is great to work with, she always tries hard and her progress is also due to the support you both give her at home.
