Personal Description: I have an outstanding record of academic success in English, with a First Class Degree, Masters with Distinction and a PhD. Literature remains a big part of my life – and I would like to share some of my enthusiasm, knowledge and experience.

Since 2003, I have pursued a career as an academic-related University Administrator. I am also a part-time counsellor.

Tutoring Experience: I have taught English at the University of York and as a private tutor in Southampton.

Tutoring Approach: I believe that people can have problems in mainstream education because their natural abilities are not always recognised and encouraged. My approach combines high standards of academic rigour with a belief that tutees can exceed their expectations when taught in a supportive, friendly manner which builds confidence and fosters potential. I will work with you to achieve better grades, but also to be more confident in your own abilities – and hopefully to have an enjoyable, fulfilling, successful experience.
