Personal Description: I'm an experienced local tutor with a special interest in helping students learn how to learn with confidence. I'm also a life-coach, helping all manner of people to become confident in all that they do, set great goals and live a good life. I use these coaching skills to help students make better choices about what subjects to take, options to consider and ways forward after school. I have a lovely daughter who is just starting her GCSEs.

Tutoring Experience: I've been tutoring for nearly 20 years as well as being a trainer and personal development coach. My teaching includes elements of teaching, advising and coaching.

Tutoring Approach: Over the last 20 years, I've worked with many inspirational people learning about teaching and learning methods, especially those commonly referred to under the umbrella of 'accelerated learning'. I've tried and tested many ways to help students become confident, independent learners, able to plan their time, learning quickly without forgetting, while not getting stressed. My attitude is that if a student doesn't understand something, then I'll find another way to explain. That's my job. I am very patient!
