Personal Description: Born and raised in Hong Kong, I am a native speaker of Cantonese and I am fluent in Mandarin Chinese. I have excellent communication skills and passionate in languages. I am patient, enthusiastic and sensitive to the needs of different learner. I am currently undergoing the DPSI training to become a professional interpreter for the public services.

Tutoring Experience: I have been a tutor of Chinese in UK since 2004. I am currently a part-time teacher of Cantonese in the Oxford Chinese School, and my major role is to prepare students for both the GCSE and A Level exam. I am familiar with the Chinese curriculum in the UK.

I have also been teaching in the mainstream school, which I was the teacher of Mandarin in the Cokethorpe School, Witney, in **Telephone Number Removed** ntroduced beginners' Mandarin to all the year 7 students and also developed an after school language club for adult learners.

I started offering private language tuition to individual learners since 2004, and I am experienced in teaching Chinese to non-native speakers. My students are from different ages, backgrounds and of different levels. Apart from Chinese languages I also integrate Chinese culture, Chinese history and cultural awareness elements into the lessons.

I have worked as a tutor and course assistant in HK, in which I was responsible for preparing course materials, conducting tutorials, marking students' essays and exams in the subject of Sociology. My specialism is Sociology of Gender, Marriage and Family, and Equality and Diversity.

Tutoring Approach: I am eager to provide tailor made learning materials and special conversation training. My approach of using multi media, including movies, songs and activities, together with pronunciation exercise and written practice can help to build a solid foundation in the language.

I am flexible and eager to make language learning an interesting and interactive process, which I will adjust the pace of teaching and learning with individual needs.
