Personal Description: I'm a mum of two and the owner of many random pets ! I enjoy reading and trying my hand at DIY, not doing badly so far ! i love the beach, snow in the right places and trying new experiences, which is how i know that i can't ski to save my life !

Tutoring Experience: I have been teaching for 5 years in secondary schools and and FE college, in the last year my lessons have been graded as outstanding by ofsted and internal inspectors. I have taught all sciences at keystage 3 and Biology at GCSE and A level. I also have experience of teaching A level Human Biology and could arrange for an individual to take this subject via home tuition and self study.
I have worked as a home tutor since 2000.

Tutoring Approach: I'm passionate about my subject and believe that lessons should take into account an individuals preferred learning style. I believe in delivering exciting lessons with enthusiasm and tolerance, no humiliation, just good old fashioned praise and encouragement. I use a range of teaching materials including the use of worksheets, games and quizzes. If a student achieves, then i've achieved. The pace of the lesson is student led as this is the most beneficial way of ensuring a student gains an understanding of the work being covered. A short task is set to demonstrate understanding and this should be completed before the next lesson. Times and locations can be flexible to meet the needs of the student and their family.
