Personal Description: I have moved down to Plymouth after spending the past two years running my own IT solutions consultancy based just outside of London.

Tutoring Experience: I have taught in several environments which would be considered difficult, such as with clients that are visually impaired, or suffer from some form of physical disability, which typically excludes children from mainstream education.

I have also taught those in mainstream education how to advance their IT knowledge. This typically happens when students start their GCSEs and can continue in some cases until they reach and pass their retirement age.

Tutoring Approach: My approach to teaching is very simple and uses classic methods which I have found to work for the majority of people I work with.

Step 1: Show you how to do it
Step 2: Explain why it's done that way
Step 3: Get you to do it and explain back why you're doing it that way (And using the "Because you told me to" excuse doesn't work!)

I normally have worksheets with me that explain exactly what we're going do be doing, which has been used to great effect at the homeless shelter I taught at for nearly 12 months.
