Personal Description: I am a married 34 year old mother of two young children. I am taking a career break to enjoy more time with my children. I have a bright and bubbly personality and enjoy music, reading, football. I attempt to exercise when willpower is strong.

Tutoring Experience: I have been a qualified classroom teacher of secondary English for 11 years, and teach the AQA syllabus to GCSE. I have taught both language and literature to all age and ability ranges, in inner city and suburban schools. I have experience as a Key Stage 3 co-ordinator and have expertise in raising boys' attainment. I have acted as intervention co-ordinator, with specific responsibility for raising attainment and levels across all ages and abilities. I will shortly be an examiner for AQA.

Tutoring Approach: I enjoy excellent relationships with my students and find that my approach to teaching enhances their learning. I am keen to work with parents to ensure that their specific goals are achieved. I assess students' levels and in consultation with parents form an initial action plan to work towards these goals. I use a wide range of activities and stimuli in my teaching. Students find me fun and approachable.
