Information About Constance
Personal Description: I'm a first year student of modern language at UEA and having been brought up in Belgium am a natural french speaker. Languages are a passion for me and I believe that by learning a different language, people will see the world through different eyes, and I try to incorporate this idea into my teaching style.
I'm a fun, happy and open-minded person. I enjoy reading and writing, foreign films and I play badminton.
Tutoring Experience: I've been tutoring GCSE French students since 2006, all of whom made significant improvements over their predicted grades. For example, one of my student's predcited grade was a D, but acheived an A in her oral and written exams.
I have experience of classroom teaching, having delivered a series of Social Education lessons to year 9 and year 10 pupils. I also have experience of working with children on the autistic spectrum.
Tutoring Approach: My approach to tutoring is very direct and I strive to push my pupils beyond the level that they believe they're capable of. I like to make the lessons fun, I don't tend to be strict and I always adopt an approach that best matches the way the student learns. Students find me approachable, likeable and someone they can ring or email any time they need help. I'm passionate about language and this makes me very specific and thorough, as well as creative when explaining things.
Finally, I maintain a good rapport with students' parents, ensuring that we can work as a team to do acheive the target exam grade.
