Personal Description: Hi, I'm David Puttergill, I recently graduated from the University of Oxford with a 2:1 in Geography and I'm currently living at home while applying for jobs until January at least. I'm an outgoing person, passionate about learning and geography in particular, I'd be really excited about being able to pass this on to my tutees.

I'd also be very happy to work to coach students for entry to Oxbridge (for Geography preferably) including a mock interview and UCAS statement preparation.

Tutoring Experience: Throughout my degree I had to teach in seminars, researching, presenting and teaching specialist areas of the subject. This and continued essay writing has taught me the value of concise and clear explanation as well as giving me confidence in my teaching style.

Tutoring Approach: My approach will depend entirely on the subject and on the requirements of the tutee(s).

In Maths based subjects I will explain the basic theory, followed by working through a few examples together and finally leaving the tutee(s) to work through problem sheets with guidance as necessary.

Geography teaching will depend on the topic but will involve more direct teaching on my behalf, explaining the principle factors involved and attempting to relate these factors to real word examples familiar to the tutee(s). If more specific exam related assistance is required I will look at the tutee's response to questions and advise them on writing style and exam technique.

• A grades at A level Maths and Advanced Maths
• A grade in As Physics
