Personal Description: I'm an experienced Music & Music Technology teacher, 34 years old, and have taught for 10 years in independent schools. I also freelance as a classical & jazz recording engineer/producer and write some of the music for a Channel 4 TV show. My experience in Music is wide-ranging: my classical training is coupled with considerable experience with Music Technology.

Tutoring Experience: I spent four years as a teacher of music at Bishop's Stortford College after leaving Oxford University, and have since worked for seven years as Assistant Director of Music & Head of Music Technology at Bedford Modern School. I am an examiner for Edexcel's AS/A2 in Music Technology. I have also worked as a private tutor at all levels and have successfully coached students for Oxbridge Music entry.

In addition to Music, I also offer tuition in AS/A2 Music Technology and ABRSM Theory of Music to diploma level.

Tutoring Approach: Each lesson is tailored to the individual needs of the student. I use variety of innovative methods, including use of ICT and music technology where appropriate. My teaching style is relaxed yet purposeful and rigorous.

I have a Music/Music Technology studio at my house where teaching takes place.
