Personal Description: I have recently completed my university degree and I am looking for some teaching experience before starting my teacher training course in September 2009.

I am extremely passionate and enthusiastic about English studies and I have a great interest in teaching.

I can provide a tutoring service to students currently studying English at Standard grade, Intermediate and Higher level.

Tutoring Experience: Although I have no previous teaching experience, I feel that my university course has given me a thorough understanding of English studies as well as excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Tutoring Approach: All my lessons will be based upon SQA national objectives, however, my method of teaching will be tailored to suit the needs of the individual student. Whether the student has temporarily fallen behind and needs to catch up, or is failing a subject, or simply wants a bit of extra support doing homework and preparing for exams, I can provide the extra help that can make all the difference between success and failure and can help the student achieve his/her potential.

My service does not merely begin and end with teaching time. Planning and preparing lessons, marking work and monitoring and recording the progress and development of the student is included in the price.

In addition, I will always be available via phone or email to offer any advice or guidance.

My priority is to ensure that the student learns the subject thoroughly.

Qualifications:

• I have recently completed an honours degree in English Studies from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow and I was awarded a 2:1.
