Personal Description: I am a Senior Lecturer in Computing at Leeds University, with over 20 year's experience of teaching and research in Computing. I have tutored students at a wide range of levels, including adult evening classes, grammar school entrance exams, up to tutorials at international research workshops. Tutoring Experience: I have taught computing at Leeds University for over 20 years, at undergraduate and postgraduate level. I lecture to classes, and also tutor BSc, MSc and PhD students individually. I am Tutor to Joint Honours students, studying computing with another subject, eg computing and management. I have taught Adult Education evening classes in computing. I have also successfully tutored my own children to pass the entrance exams for Leeds Grammar School and Leeds Girls' High School (and then go on to excel in Computing!)

Tutoring Approach: Like most good tutors on this website, I would start by determining the individual student's needs, and their current strengths and weaknesses. If the tutoring is towards a specific qualification (GCSE, A-level, even degree-level exams) then we will explore the syllabus together to build a learning plan for tutoring sessions. I prefer to work with students to achieve learning together
