Personal Description: I completed my first degree two years ago. Since then, I have travelled around the world and am now working as a teaching assistant until I begin a masters degree in Egyptology in October. I am involved in charity work with disadvantaged children and spend time each summer helping at its holiday camp. I am passionate about learning, and hope to be able to pass this on to any students that I tutor.

Tutoring Experience: Although not qualified as a teacher, I work as a teaching assistant in a secondary school. This involves teaching both in small groups and individually, in a range of subjects from year 7 to GSCE level. I have also done work experience in a primary school, working with KS1 and 2 children. I am also a tutor with 'Cambridge Tutors'.

Tutoring Approach: I believe that every student has different needs, and so no one approach is suitable to all. I like to challenge students to think for themselves by helping them to work through problems and questions, be it history sources, English texts or mathematical puzzles. I think it is important that the student is actively involved in the subject matter, and that they feel confident in applying what they have learned.
