Personal Description: I am an experienced teacher of over 30 years experience. I moved to the Torquay area around 4 years ago to enjoy the scenery and have a relatively stress free environment. I love the area!

Tutoring Experience: I started teaching Mathematics in 1972 and have taught in comprehensive schools all my life. I have taught all ages and abilities but wish, now, to concentrate on the age range 11 to 16. I have a vast knowledge of the examination system having served on various examination committees, marked GCSE papers, and, at present am heavily involved in the marking of Year 9 SATS papers, being a 'Team Leader' for a group of markers. I have enjoyed tutoring pupuils since moving to Torquay, and helped many achieve their goals.

Tutoring Approach: I believe I am sympathetic to a youngster's needs. In a one hour session I would hope to check on whether a person is coping with the present topics at school, revise work already undertaken in the past, and look at 'Past Papers' to aid general revision, practice exam techniques and build confidence. I hope, too, there will be the opportunity to talk generally about coping with the pressures at school.
