Personal Description: I qualified as a teacher of English in 1976 and as a teacher of dyslexics 1998. I have two children at university and am married.

Tutoring Experience: I have taught English for over thirty years, and have worked in both state and independent schools.
English Language and Literature to GCSE and A level. Literacy taught at KS2 in primary schools.

I am qualified to teach dyslexics. I offer this to students of all ages. I also do informal assessments for dyslexia. Approved Teacher Status British Dyslexia Association.

I have tutored for over 20 years, as well as teaching in schools.
I am also a qualified Parent Coach and offer support and advice on any behavioural or educational issues.

My fees are not the cheapest but they reflect my substantial experience and additional training. They are within the £30-£35 range suggested by the professional association of teachers with specialised training.

Tutoring Approach: All lessons are prepared for each individual student. I am up-to-date with the National Curriculum, OCR and AQA exam boards for GCSE and Common Entrance exams.
I have a wide selection of books, and other teaching aids which I use.
I expect students to work hard and be committed, but at the same time I try to make lessons interesting.
