Information About Hannah
Personal Description: I am a twenty four year old English Literature and Creative Writing Graduate from Liverpool Hope University. I am passionate about all academic studies but particularly English and I received from my University the 2008 Geoffrey Leyland Memorial Prize for Best Perfomance in Final Year English Literature. I am extremely keen to commence a career working with young people and am planning on studying for a PGCE in 2009. I am also very patient, friendly and easygoing while also being conscientious and hardworking.
Tutoring Experience: I currently tutor three young girls with maths and English, who I have been teaching since September 2008. I also participated in the Paired Reading Scheme at Archbishop Blanch School, which involved me working closely with a young girl with special needs, helping her with her reading throughout the year. I have also completed a work experience placement at Knowsley Village Primary School. In addition to this, I have had lots of experience of working with young people because of my voluntary roles within my church (St Matthew and St James, Mossley Hill) as a Sunday School leader for a group of primary school aged children and as a regular group leader at the annual holiday club.
Tutoring Approach: I am used to teaching in a variety of fun, creative and interesting ways and am extremely adaptable in my approach. I can easily adapt my teaching to the needs of each individual student and create a method that will most benefit them.
