Personal Description: I consider myself to be a highly motivated qualified Science Teacher with QTS and GTC registered. I have evidence of Being an excellent classroom practitioner and experience of being a form tutor. After University I have been teaching in Secondary High School of Saint Francis of Assisi for almost three years. I have been teaching Science ? Biology, Physics and Chemistry across (11 - 19) the age up to A - level. My responsibilities were to contribute to the planning, high quality delivery, review and evaluation of the relevant courses within the school. As a personal tutor to contribute to the high quality delivery of the school?s tutorial programme. I have been teaching Science throughout the age and ability range. To develop and improve professional skills, knowledge and practice, to contribute to the development of appropriate syllabuses, materials and schemes of work. I have an understanding of the teaching and learning strategies appropriate to the 11 ? 19 age range across the curriculum and the ability both to ensure high quality teaching and learning and to promote independent learning. I have the ability to be innovative in curriculum planning and teaching and learning. I have experience to participate in appropriate meetings with parents and colleagues. I promote positive attitudes and behaviour. My specific responsibility is committed to achieving the school aims, be an active learner, and have a genuine commitment to the welfare of children. I support all colleagues in their roles for the development of the school. I am able to contribute to a vision for the science, to be able to contribute to the development of a strategic improvement plan for Science. I understand how to continue to raise standards of achievement.
