Personal Description: I am an ex-university lecturer and mum of four who moved to lincolnshire five years ago. Since then I have pursued a writing career and edit a local art magazine as well as campaigning for an arts centre in the region. I am also a governor at a local school where my current aim is to encourage artists/writers into schools to carry out projects with students.

Tutoring Experience: I studied for my degree at Nottingham University and my postgraduate studies were at Warwick. During this time I worked with TIE (theatre in education) and with the RSC at Stratford. I then taught at FE colleges in London and Nottingham, before lecturing in English at Nottingham Trent University. I have also been private tutor for 20 years, teaching across abilities from basic English learners through to postgraduate students. I have also tutored in I.T. and public speaking.

Tutoring Approach: I also take an individual approach to each student and tailor my teaching to their needs and to their way of learning. Using various techniques , I aim to make it interesting (and, dare I say, fun!). I produce my own teaching materials and provide students with a targeted approach which they can achieve comfortably.
