Personal Description: Hi there. I am a Primary Teacher currently working in a Language an Communication Unit. My present post is in Wishaw however I live in Glasgow and am therefore happy to travel to most place in between. I am happy to teach Language (English) and Maths up to S.Grade level and History to higher and beyond. I am also keen to work with children and adults with Special Educational Needs.

Tutoring Experience: I qualified as a Primary School Teacher 3 years ago and have taught all age ranges within the Primary sector. I am currently teaching children within Language and Communication Unit and am enjoying this very much.

Tutoring Approach: I set high but realistic expectations of all children/ adults I tutor. After having time to discuss where they think they currently are and where they would like to be, I work with them to plan out what needs to be achieved and the timescales we have to work with. I feel that tutoring needs to a team effort and make this very clear to those I am working with. Having said that, I do not believe that working in silence is always the best way forward. I like to be relaxed while I am working and believe strongly that this produces the best results for all concerned and for that reason I am happy to have a giggle along the way.
