Personal Description: I am a primary teacher in the Glasgow and Renfrewhire areas. I am back at university this year on a part time basis, doing a PGCE in primary physical education. So I can be flexible to your needs for tutoring times.
I have a lively personality and aim to make learning as fun as possible, while encouraging you to achieve your full potential.
Tutoring Experience: I am a fully qualified primary teacher, I have worked in several schools since I qualified 4 years ago, I have covered all levels of the curriculum during this time.
I have worked with children who have autism and behavioural problems, allowing me to gain experience in tailoring my teaching style to specific requirements, while being adaptable to their needs on a daily basis.
Prior to qualifying as a teacher I gained a BA(hons) in Business and spent several years in the private sector.
Tutoring Approach: My approach to learning is it should be fun, I make lessons informal, but set high standards and encourage my pupils to achieve them. I also believe that all children have the ability to succeed when given the right help.
I tailor lessons to meet the learning needs and styles of each individual pupil, providing relevant resources. Each lesson focuses on developing skills, which will enable learners to achieve specific outcomes.
