Personal Description: I have just graduated from the University of Edinburgh with an Honours degree in Astrophysics. This means I have studied maths and physics at an advanced level following on from my A level study of these subjects. I am 22 years old and am currently undertaking further study in Psychology with the open university. I am enthusiastic about learning and teaching and feel that the best environment for someone to learn in is a relaxed and positive one.

Tutoring Experience: Although I have had no teaching or tutoring experience I feel that my time at university has allowed me to develop the skills needed in order to tutor. I attended tutorials which although were small groups allowed me to pick up the skills needed through interacting with fellow students and tutors.

Tutoring Approach: I am a strong believer in active learning and teaching and feel that the best way for students to learn is through participation. However I am also aware that not every student is the same and feel that trying different forms of teaching can have a positive effect on the students ability to understand. I take a person-centered approach and will tailor the lesson structure to the individual students needs.
