Tutoring Experience: 8 years teaching Engineering in Military academy in Abu Dhabi. Various teaching posts in Army career. Tutoring in English language to Arabic, Russian and Chinese adult tutees

Tutoring Approach: My approach to English tutoring is to involve real life scenarios which would involve the following:

1. Reading literature and stories aloud to students(comprehension/vocabulary)

2. Students reading and practicing leveled texts (all skills)

3. Talking about stories, experience, and meaning (comprehension/vocabulary)

4. Writing and journaling (comprehension/vocabulary/phonics)

5. Students re-reading familiar texts for speed, accuracy, and expression (fluency/comprehension)

6. Learning high frequency words (vocabulary/phonics)

7. Hearing/repeating word and letter sounds (phonemic awareness)

8. Doing letter-sound games and activities (phonics)

9. Making music and rhymes (phonological awareness/vocabulary/fluency)

10. Engaging in dramatic play (comprehension/vocabulary/fluency)
