Personal Description: I am fascinated by all areas of science and enjoy helping others to extend their understanding.

I am currently studying for a MA in Sociolinguistics.

Tutoring Experience: Experience as a classroom teacher of Science to 11-16 year-olds. Classroom Physics teacher to KS5.

Teaching placements in London and Kent. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) achieved after successful induction period.

Private tuition experience across age range including A level Biology and Physics.

Tutoring Approach: I make extensive use of past exam questions; the best way to do well in exams is to practise doing exams! This also allows realistic monitoring of performance as tutoring continues. I normally email exam questions for students to attempt before the tutoring session.

It is desirable for students to have time to explore their own interests in the subject by asking questions of their own. This is an important part of reflective learning and will help build and maintain enthusiasm.
