Personal Description: I have been teaching/training adults in the use of IT for a number of years. I began training adults in industry 16 years ago and qualified as an adult education lecturer 6 years ago. I enjoy teaching adults to use their computer to achieve their goals. As well as teaching IT I have a personal interest in family history/genealogy and am currently studying with the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies.

Tutoring Experience: I have been teaching/training courses in industry for 10 years. Teaching for local authorities and local colleges 6 years. I have delivered both qualification and non-qualifications courses in many IT applications. Qualifications delivered: OCN Information Technology Levels 1-3. OCR Entry 3, CLAiT and CLAiT Plus, ECDL and ECDL Advanced, Family History (Researching the past) Level 1.

Tutoring Approach: I seek to put learners at their ease. I am very patient and supportive. I would assess a learner's needs and develop a learning plan with the learner leading to the achievement of the learner's own goals. Learners work at their own pace. Sessions individually tailored to learner need.
