Personal Description: Hello, my name is Katie and I am a friendly, qualified teacher working with primary school children in Suffolk, helping them to succeed and gain confidence within any subject in the primary curriculum.

Tutoring Experience: My time as a classroom teacher has included working with all ages in the primary range, and across all subjects. I have worked with a full range of pupils from those described as 'gifted and talented' to those requiring special educational and behavioural support.

Qualification: BEd (Hons) in primary education and art (Qualified Teacher Status)

Tutoring Approach: My approach to tutoring is pupil centred; listening, explaining and encouraging them in their work. I continually ensure that I work from where the pupil is, rather than to a set standard, moving them forward in manageable steps. Where a child has been struggling, maybe in just one subject, this often effects their confidence and I work to increase this as well as their academic ability in that area.
