Personal Description: I am a second year student at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London, UK. I am studying History and South East Asian Studies. I took a year out of education and travelled to Mongolia where I volunteered with the Mongolian National Broadcaster (MNB). I returned to the UK with even more desire to travel and learn. I am enthusiastic to gain experience teaching English as a second language and the subjects that I love so that upon completing my university education I can get a job teaching abroad.

Tutoring Experience: MY Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) qualification has prepared me to teach English as a second language at any level to any age of student. I have an exceptional grasp on the English language and am currently learning Indonesian and Korean, so I know the best way to teach a language. I have experience proof-reading and discussing essays up to university level, but have never done so in a professional capacity.

Tutoring Approach: I am able to apply the teaching skills I learnt with TEFL to teach History and English up to A Level standard, two subjects which I excelled in at school. I am currently studying History at university so am in a position to prepare a student for university level education. I am a very friendly, patient tutor who likes a challenge and is eager to help. I feel certain that any student will feel my enthusiasm for the subject and that I will rub off onto them.
