Personal Description: I am 28 years old and have a natural enthusiasm and understanding of science that compelled me from a young age to study science and to make it my career.
I teach in a comprehensive secondary school in East Grinstead.
I have an interest in many sports, and used to play hockey to a good standard.

Tutoring Experience: I am a fully qualified Science Teacher since 2003, with experience teaching all 3 areas of science at KS3 and GCSE. I also specialise in teaching Biology and Human Biology to A2 standard. I have held a post as an intervention lead teacher. Part of this role was to develop strategies and materials for the students, parents and their teachers to use, to get the best from students who were underachieving.

Tutoring Approach: I have a relaxed, informal approach. I try to encourage students to develop strategies to improve their ability to learn and retain information in preparation for exams and any future study.

Qualifications:

• PGCE QTS Science 11-18 (Biology) from The University of Sussex (2003)
• 2.1 Degree in Biochemistry (Hons) from The University of Surrey (2002)
