Personal Description: I am a third year student at the University of St. Andrews. I have had a lot of experience working with children and understand the pressure and stress in preparing for exams as well as keeping up with weekly assignments. I have a lot of experience working with a wide range of children (abroad as well as in the U.K.) of different capabilities and understand the importance of bringing out a child's strengths in order for one to gain confidence and to progress as much as possible.

Tutoring Experience: I have had no formal teacher training yet have worked, for example with an autistic child of 9yrs in relation to his social and academic development. I have also helped 18yr olds with exam preparation for their A-Levels.

Tutoring Approach: My approach to tutoring is primarily focused on understanding what works best for a child i.e how they learn/ remember things best and then to structure tutoring around this. I intend not to be too formal as I feel children work better when they are relaxed and can actually see their progress, yet are also comfortable enough to ask as many questions as possible.
