Personal Description: I am an enthusiastic and highly committed teacher of English and Drama at Trinity High School and Sixth Form Centre in Redditch. I love literature, theatre, creative writing, music and the study of both language and media.

Tutoring Experience: I have two years of qualified teaching experience in English and Drama in the 11-18 years age bracket. Most of my experience has been under the AQA examining board for both GCSE and A'Level but I have also taught GCSE English under the WJEC board. I have taught students across the ability spectrum including those with SEN and EAL.

Tutoring Approach: My approach to tutoring will develop from the individual learning needs of the student. I create safe, positive and active learning environments in which students will be supported and challenged to develop their existing skills. Although I adopt a holistic approach to teaching and learning, attention will be particularly applied to areas in need of development. These areas will be predominantly taught in the style that best suits the student's preferred learning method although a wide range of strategies will be used for further support.
SATs, GCSE and A'level students will be taught and assessed in accordance with the National Curriculum, the Literacy Strategy and the appropriate examining board specification. If the student is attending school, I will support their current English studies in addition to targeting their areas for development.
