Personal Description: My name is Laura and I am a student at Loughborough University. I am very friendly and approachable, and I pride myself on being incredibly patient. I would love to help your child acheive the best they possibly can.

Tutoring Experience: I have lots of experience volunteering with children, particularly those with special needs. I worked as a teaching assistant in a specialist school for autism, for example. I have very much enjoyed all my experiences of teaching, and hope to teach myself once I have completed my degree.

Tutoring Approach: I had tutors myself while I was at school and through this I believe that the best approach is a relatively informal one with a younger person. Many people who are struggling at school are put off by a stricter approach, so I believe in gentle encouragment and a friendly atmosphere. However, there are clearly many pressures, particularly around exam times, so I would do my best to ensure that work gets done!

Qualifications:

• I have 16 GCSE's including A*'s in English Literature, English Language, History and Religious Education
• I have A-Levels in English Literature, Philosophy and Biology, as well as an AS Level in History of Art
• I am currently studying towards a degree in English Literature and in my first year gained a high 2:1
