Personal Description: I graduated from Merton College in Oxford University in June 2008, with a 2:1 in History. Currently on a gap-year alternately working in the UK and backpacking my way across India, Vietnam and Cambodia, before starting Sandhurst in September 2009.

Would be available for tutoring in the Bristol and North Somerset area between February and May 2009 - the key pre-exam period.

Tutoring Experience: Whilst studying for my A-levels at Backwell Comprehensive I participated in the 'Sixth Form Help Scheme', assisting 11-12 year olds with learning disabilities with their reading. In my capacity as a 'Peer Educator' I also organised and ran a number of classes for Year 7 and 8 pupils regarding drug awareness, in which I was highly commended.

Tutoring Approach: Will aim to impart advice and assistance with essay techniques, writing style and key skills relevant to the subject. Will help with research and means of obtaining relevant information, but will not hand facts and figures to the student on a platter, thus equipping them for independent study.
Recent experience with A levels and degree work means I have excellent knowledge of what examiners are looking for.
Ideal for anyone thinking about applying for higher education, particularly Oxbridge - I provide both interview and application advice and insider knowledge!
