Personal Description: I'm an experienced teacher of Spanish and French living and working from home in the Telford area. I am patient, reliable, hard working with a good sense of humour! I believe that everybody has the ability to learn a foreign language and I enjoy helping each individual, be they a complete beginner or at intermediate level.

Tutoring Experience: I have four years experience teaching languages at two local colleges ( New College and Telford College of Arts and Technology). I taught evening classes to adults and I also participated in community education.
I have also worked as a private tutor of Spanish for 3 years, helping two private clients go from beginner to GCSE level.
I have also worked as a private tutor of French to a primary school aged student for one year.

Tutoring Approach: I very much believe in taking an individual's needs into account when teaching a language. This means being patient and understanding with those who have never learnt a language before ; I also take into account the fact that everybody has a different way of learning and I adapt my teaching style to suit the needs of the student.
I make full use of the target language and encourage my students to use the target language as often as possible and and to the best of their ability in all four skills areas ( speaking, listening, reading and writing). I believe that learning a language should be an enjoyable experience and not something to dread or be afraid of!

• Spanish Single Honours (2:1) University of Southampton 1999
• PGCE Spanish and French University of Wolverhampton- due for completion October 2009
• Certificate in teaching English as a Foreign Language Grade B 2001
