Information About Margaret
Personal Description: HI, I am a personable, friendly, confident person. I have lots of interests which include: music, art, reading and sport. I am a single parent and have brought up three children, I think, successfully.
I believe in life long learning and feel that this begins in childhood when learning and education is encouraged in a positive way.
Tutoring Experience: I studied for my teaching qualification 16 years ago as a mature student. I have therefore been teaching since then and have a wide experience across Key stage 1 and 2, the majority being within Key Stage 2.
I have some experience of personal tutoring, in particular with children studying for year 6 Sat's. I would be confident tutoring all primary subjects to children within both Key stages.
I feel that my personality, experience both as a teacher and a parent makes me suitable as a tutor.
Tutoring Approach: I think that a tutor should have a friendly but firm approach to the tutee. They should help to build confidence as well as the develpment of skills, therefore helping a child to improve and reach their potential.
I would develop a personal study programmes for each child dependant on their particular needs.
I would prefer to work from my own home, as I feel that a child works more confidently and with better concentration in a dfferent environment, but would travel to you if required.
Qualifications:
B A Degree: Post Graduate Certificate in Education
