Personal Description: I have had extensive experience in industry before turning to teaching. Such experiences have included business and legally orientated positions, developing policies and advising on key legal processes and rules. I am also a moderator for business courses and an examiner for A level law with a leading examining body.

Tutoring Experience: I have been teaching in further education for 5 years, on GCSE/A Level Business and A Level Law courses. I am a course coordinator overseeing the planning and continuous improvement of my subject area and have been involved with personal tutoring throughout my teaching experience.

Tutoring Approach: My approach to tutoring is dependant upon the needs of the individual learner. I aim to develop clear subject knowledge as well as the all-important exam/coursework technique that so often concerns students. I like to discuss a subject to develop higher level skills of analysis and evaluation and believe that setting achievable targets on a regular basis helps motivate learners and enables them to monitor their own progress.

Qualifications:

• PGCE in post-compulsory education and training
• LL.B - Batchelors degree in law (2:1 hons)
• MSc in Occupational Psychology
• PGDip in Management with Human Resources
