Personal Description: I am an experienced History teacher and have been teaching for 11 years. I have been a head of History department and have taught G.C.S.E, AS and A2 levels throughout that time. I have subject expertise as well as specialism in examination approach and technique. I have marked and moderated exam papers and coursework and have attended numerous training sessions set up by exam boards. I can help with preparation for exams and writing coursework.

Tutoring Approach: I aim to deliver quality, stimulating teaching through excellent subject knowledge. My tutoring includes a wide range of well-timed activities in which pupil participation figures prominently. My students respond with high levels of interest and motivation to challenging and rigorous enquiry and are encouraged to think creatively. I aim to use a wide range of teaching styles and am keen to make use of visual evidence to heighten interest and awareness. I am friendly and patient and work to ensure the best outcome for the student.
