Personal Description: Hi, i'm a outgoing friendly university student, currently studying Architecture, which has been my ambition since I was at primary school! This has come out of a real love of art and design, where I always saw things and thought to myself, "that could be rather better!". My strengths in art and design are painting techniques, pencil and charcoal drawing, and presentation methods.

I have grown up with a huge passion for literature, and languages. Being able to read books and absorb the details is one of my biggest strengths, and I love undertaking works of both creative and analytical writing. After my GCSE's my english teachers nominated me for a position in The National Academy for Gifted & Talented Youth, where I was accepted.

Further to this, I am both a keen musician, and sportsman, captaining my university hockey team.

Tutoring Experience: My experience isn't vast, but my passion for the subjects is! I have spent time working with children with learning disabilities in the past, as well as helping a couple of family friend's children pass their art coursework and french exams at GCSE level before I started at university.

Tutoring Approach: My approach to tutoring is to act as an aide to finding the spark within a student that can stimulate them best within a subject. I will teach them individual learning techniques that I have picked up from my own professors here at university, to help them get the most out of their learning resources.

In tutoring english, I will help them be able to get the most out of their literature using reading methods, as well as teaching them how the english language is formulated, in order to help improve both spelling and grammar. I will also be able to help them with essay writing and presentation, and creating work plans to get all the work done!

With art or design subjects, I would look to get an understanding of a students artistic style, and help that flourish, as well as developing their weaker skills to help them become more rounded. I would look at giving constructive critical feedback to their work, and look at teaching them different presentation techniques in order to find what suits the individual best. Planning methods would also be given, as these subjects need a lot of organisation to complete the necessary work!

Qualifications:

• English Language - GCSE grade A*. Member of 'The National Academy for Gifted & Talented Youth'.
• English Literature - GCSE grade A. Member of 'The National Academy for Gifted & Talented Youth'.
• Art - GCSE grade A, A-level grade B.
• Graphic Products - A-level grade B. On course for a first-class degree with honours (BA hons) in Architecture.
