Personal Description: I am a dedicated, hard working and caring 24 year old woman. I am very committed to teaching and learning and enjoy working with a wide range of people. I feel I have good social and personal skills and relate well to most people. I enjoy teaching a wide range of subjects and always try to relate the subject to the tutee.

Tutoring Experience: I am a qualified primary school teacher and have experience of working with children aged from 4months to 18 year olds. I am currently employed at a local secondary school, working one to one with a child with difficulties. This means I use a variety of teaching styles to break the learning down into manageable pieces.
I also have a Mathematics with Education Degree, which I completed at the University of Plymouth in 2007. This has given me a very secure knowledge of all aspects of Mathematics.

Tutoring Approach: I try to build a good relationship with the tutee and decide which learning style is the best for them. I teach by giving lots of examples and working through them together and then give the tutee confidence and praise to try problems independently. I work on the basis that praise and encouragement is important in building confidence, especially for Mathematical problems.

From Alison (5/5): Rhea is lovely. My daughter really enjoys her sesssions. Although we have only seen Rhea a couple of times she has already made a big difference to my daughters confidence in Maths. We are delighted with her progress already. Throughly recommended.
