Personal Description: Hi my name is Rob Simpson, I live in Spalding, Lincolnshire, where I have just taken a position of Mathematics teacher at a local secondary school. I am new to teaching but love it already and have found that I have a knack for explaining things in different ways in order to get the best understanding possible out of students.

Tutoring Experience: PGCE Teacher Training course at the University of York, including teaching placements at 2 secondary school, one in York and the other in Scarborough. currently employed by Gleed Girls Technology college, Spalding. Awarded Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) on August 1st 2008. I also did some private tuition of GCSE Maths towards the end of my training.

Tutoring Approach: As I said, I like to use a slightly different approach in order to help pupils understand difficult concepts in Maths. Rather than explain it and then go through endless examples, I tend to find that if the pupil doesnt understand or "get it" when shown one way, there is always at least one other way to explain it which they will find clearer.

Qualifications:

• BSc in Maths with Economics. (University of York, North Yorkshire.)
• PGCE Secondary Mathematics. (University of York, North Yorkshire.)
