Personal Description: I am a student studying Business Management at the University of Brighton. I have A/B grade A-Levels in Maths, Economics and Sociology, and have a first year pass in BA (Hons) Economics with Management. I am able to tutor Business and Economics up to A-Level as I have qualifications in these subjects beyond A-Level; I am able to teach maths up to GCSE or Adult Learners as I have an A-Level in maths and will begin training to be a Key Stage 3/4 Maths teacher next September. I am able to teach French at a lower ability as I have an Intermediate Certificate in French, a TEFL qualification, and I have spent time living in France. I am currently studying French at University alongside my degree.

Tutoring Experience: I am currently undertaking a teaching placement in a Secondary School teaching maths, and I have casual maths teaching experience as I have coached students on my degree and other degrees through the maths elements of their course. I have undertaken a TEFL course, where I practiced teaching English as a foreign language, and in September I am due to teach English at a summer camp in Spain.

Tutoring Approach: As a tutor, it is my job to help the student through their subject, and I therefore think that it is important for the sessions to be student-led. I prefer that students decide between sessions what they would like help with at the next session, and get in touch with me the day before so that I can prepare resources for the next session. When teaching languages, I will only speak with my tutees in the language they are learning as this will be most beneficial to the students.
