Personal Description: After having 12 years experience working within the Retail Display & Visual Merchandising Industry for Londons major department stores. I launched my own business offering Display & Visual Merchandising consultancy and training.
I was asked to teach my own courses on Display Design at The University of the Arts, due to my vast experience within the industry.

Tutoring Experience: Teaching at The University of the Arts London since January 2007.
Currently teaching two classes on Retail Display and Visual Merchandising ;
ABC Award Level 3 in Merchandise Display & Presentation , ABC Award Level 3 in Fashion Display & Presentation.
Training small retailers in London for the Earn Project ( COVE ) Teaching the ABC Award in Merchandise Display & Presentation.
Teaching English Plus Visual Display Course to Chinese students. Summer 2008

Tutoring Approach: I use my 12 years experience within the Retail industry to give first hand experience to my students. I find this so rewarding to pass on my knowledge to my students.
My approach is very structured however, giving flexibility to allow the student to be creative and express their flair.
I like to keep my lessons varied , using practical projects which keeps the students interest by allowing them to complete hands on tasks.

Qualifications:

• Currently taking the Postgraduate Certificate in Learning & Teaching
• BTEC National Diploma in Design & Display
